On Jan. 15. at the Huron Valley Volleyball Club, 19 young ladies tried out for the WCC girl’s volleyball team. Volleyball is all about communication and working together as a team to get the ball to hit the opposing team’s ground court. Even through tryouts, communication and teamwork are essential parts of volleyball.

With the ball in her sight, Jordan Lynn Sweet gets ready to jump up and block the ball.

Reese Page tosses the ball in the air to let her get a running start to serve.

Julia Rem receives the ball from her team member across the gym.

The WCC women’s volleyball team will be coached by Issac London. He has been coaching for almost 20 years and this is his first year coaching at WCC.

Taking a breath, Reese Page gets ready in front of the net waiting for the moment to block the ball.

Coach Issac London calls the group over by the end of the tryouts, encouraging them that this season will be great for the team and that they should give it their all in each game.
