The Entrepreneurship Center was created to offer Washtenaw Community college students, faculty, and the local community a chance to start or grow their business. It’s located off the beaten path, in a stand-alone, beige brick building that was previously the Plant Operations Building. Now called the Damon B. Flowers building, The EC is headed by an experienced team of professionals. The different EC staff members help WCC students, business owners, and future entrepreneurs with realizing their full potential in the business world. The EC does this by offering many services, including workshops, programs, events, and student class tours.

To get started on your journey to grow your business, fill out a business assistance request form to fully benefit from what the EC has to offer. This form will allow the EC staff to coordinate their services to your business needs and pinpoint your target areas that you need to work on. The form is located on the EC website and at the Entrepreneurship Center. Then one of the staff members will contact you for a one-on-one appointment via phone, video, or in person.

Through the EC services you can book an appointment with the WCC business librarians who help with market and start up business research. You can obtain expert knowledge from local entrepreneurs through the Entrepreneurs In Residence program. You can also attend ongoing workshops and events throughout the year on the WCC campus.

They also can come to your classroom, or your class can walk to them. On your visit, you will learn about the many services and opportunities they offer. You can subscribe to the EC free newsletter, which keeps you informed and updated on all the events and programs the EC offers.
The EC offers the opportunity to participate in pitch competitions during the year as well.
